MESIC 2019 will be held at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería y Diseño Industrial (ETSIDI) of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).
The ETSIDI has belonged to UPM since 1972, although its origin as a training centre dates back to the end of the 18th century, between 1790 and 1795. Since then it has been called under a variety of names (“Real Conservatorio de Artes”, “Escuela de Artes Industriales”, “Escuela Industrial de Madrid”, “Escuela Superior de Trabajo”, “Escuela de Peritos Industriales, “Escuela de Ingeniería Técnica Industrial” and “Escuela Universitaria de Ingeniería Técnica Industrial”) until to day its current denomination.
The ETSIDI is located on the street Ronda de Valencia nº 3. This is a central and well-connected area, just 100 m from the underground and suburban station of Embajadores, and 600 m from the high-speed train station of Madrid-Puerta de Atocha. It is also easily accessible from the Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez airport by suburban train from the T4 terminal, underground from the T1, T2 , T4 terminals or express bus, which also runs from the T1, T2, T4 terminals.
